SUPER SELECT 4WD-II SYSTEM

Robust handling in all conditions

The L200 can take on all kinds of terrain, thanks to Super Select 4WD-II. This state-of-the-art four wheel drive system controls the power and braking to each wheel for maximum stability and traction whatever the surface. A selector dial on the centre console allows you to switch between settings. Choose 2H for normal roads or 4H for rough roads - you can change settings at speeds up to 100km/h. When the going gets tough, or you're going off-road, stop the vehicle and change to either 4HLc or 4Llc settings.

OFF-ROAD MODE

Greater traction when you need it

Improve the L200's traction further with the off-road selector switch. Just press the button until the right mode appears in the Multi-Information Display on the dash. Choose between Gravel, Mud/snow, Sand or Rock* settings.

HILL DESCENT CONTROL

Feel confident on steep slopes

Negotiating a tricky slope? Use Hill Descent Control (the switch is just under the 4WD selector dial). The L200 will automatically apply the brakes to maintain your current speed. It means you can focus your attention on steering, without having to think about applying the brakes.

LARGE FRONT DISC BRAKES

Improved braking efficiency

Models with 18-inch wheels are equipped with enlarged front ventilated disc brakes. These provide greater braking efficiency. It's just one more way the new model L200 is ready for whatever life throws at it.

6-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION

Changes gear more like a car

If you choose the manual transmission, you get six speeds for total control in all driving conditions. The smooth gear change combined with light clutch control makes for a nice easy operation that feels more like a car than a pickup.

LIGHTWEIGHT 2.2 LITRE TURBO DIESEL ENGINE

Powerful, economical engine

The L200 has a 2.2 litre 16-valve lightweight all-aluminium engine block and precision common rail direct injection system. This makes it highly fuel efficient and economical, yet it has all the punchy acceleration and robust torque you'll ever need. It also produces lower CO2 emissions.

The front grille, hood and bumper makes the L200 look like it's been carved from a solid block of steel. But there’s a lot more to it than just rugged features.

DYNAMIC SHIELD

More protective, more stable

The new front of the L200 incorporates the DYNAMIC SHIELD. It not only looks the part, it's also more protective for pedestrians and occupants. The improved hood shape and lower resting position of the windscreen wipers offers better visibility.

HI-TECH LED HEADLAMPS

Better lights all round

Highly efficient large combination lamps have been placed further out on the front bumper to light up more of the road ahead. At the rear, large combination lamps have also placed further out on the body. They're also more responsive, so vehicles behind can see in a split second when you're braking. Side turn lamps (indicators) on the outside edge of the door mirrors alert cyclists, pedestrians and other vehicles that you're about to turn.

KEYLESS OPERATION SYSTEM

Convenient and secure

The Keyless Operation System allows you to lock and unlock the doors simply by pressing a button on the door handle. The Engine Start System lets you start and stop the engine by pressing an engine switch, so you can get in, and start the L200 without using a key.
